This was a gift for a student at a school I use to work at. The teacher was getting books for them. I assume it was good
My son loves this series, and all Mike Lupica books.

My son read this at age 9 and liked it. The story is a little more mature so we discussed it after he finished reading it and I was pleased with his perceptions.
My 11 and 13-year-old boys enjoyed this. They had a hard time following some expressions.
Hoping my non-reader grandson will like The Comeback Kid series.
My 13-year-old son and sports junkie forgot this book at school and he wanted to keep reading it so badly when he got home that he convinced me to buy it for the kindle!
