The content of this book seems succinct and -- as far as it goes -- it may well be accurate; it seems to be a concise guide to the basic topic of trusts. It seems not, however, to be comprehensive (it is short and tersely written) in its review of the reasons to create a trust and any potential down-sides of trusts. Because of the book's brevity and the differing laws and practices in different states, a person with a substantial estate would be wise to consult a professional who works regularly with trust issues, and a person with a small estate might have no need for a trust (and might in ignorance make things worse for him- or herself or his or her survivors. The greatest flags of concern are the numerous (in a volume of this length) passages with misused words of basic English or basic errors of English grammar -- as though it were a term paper finished after an all-nighter at 5 a.m. on the day the paper was due and the authors were too tired to think straight and had no time to proofread or weren't able to recognize the confusion caused by the language. It's possible that the authors are not native English speakers (research is now frequently outsourced), which doesn't necessarily mean lack of understanding of American trust law. I'm obviously not an expert, and it is possible that (if one correctly reads the text, including the garbled passages) the information is sound and complete, if brief -- but it seems safest to regard the pamphlet as an introduction to the topic and a starting point for discussions with an attorney and a tax adviser rather than a true "how to do it" volume with forms that can be properly completed with confidence. From that standpoint, the volume might be a helpful introduction to the topic.

I had worked for an attorney many years ago, I found these forms extremely helpful in what I wanted to do. I didn't have to search other sources. Hope this works just as well for you.

This was a quick and useful guide. You might find you require more help than what is in here but I found it easy to understand.

For three and four year olds? Seriously? Jokes about sharks eating people and sensing blood from far away are not funny for a toddler. Misunderstood or not a shark is not a domesticated creature. I purchased this book based on the general review average, but tossed after reading through it. Why would I subject my grandchild to unnecessary fear. This book looks colorful and perhaps better suited for a child over 6 who can understand it’s just a story and has a few facts about sea creatures. The description should contain language to not encourage purchasing for younger children.

Great book for grandsons. I have read it over and over in a weeks time so that ev3n th33 yr old has memories parts!

We love this book, really fun and a lot of informative facts about Sharks

Weird little book. The book itself is very very nice - it looks great and clearly there was no skimping on the printing. The pages are nice and thick and the colors are rich and deep. But the story itself is a little odd. The main gist is that there's a jellyfish interviewing a shark for a tv show in order to show that the shark is "misunderstood." Great concept. But then the whole story is how the shark is actually about to eat whatever he sees - fish, baby seal, people - and then pretends that he wasn't when he remembers that the camera is rolling. This is kind of funny but when the shark eats the jellyfish at the end the moral seems to be that you absolutely SHOULD be afraid of sharks when swimming. This is a weird message to send to young kids, especially when at one point the book makes it clear that you're more likely to get bit by another person than a shark... maybe this particular shark is just bloodthirsty...

This off-beat book may not appeal to some kids or their parents, but for those who understand a shark’s true nature and have a good sense of humor, Misunderstood Shark is a fun tongue-in-cheek read. Whenever Shark behaves just like a shark, TV commentator Bob the Jelly Fish interjects, “the people are watching, Shark…you didn’t really mean to put that fish in your mouth, did you?…or that baby seal…or people.” Because Shark is on live TV and now in the public eye, he reacts to each situation with the same beginning phrase, “…You misunderstand, I wasn’t going to eat that fish, I was just showing him my teeth,” or some other cockamamie line. The young reader at our house knows Shark’s claims are outlandishly false, but the author backs each scenario with additional and interesting true shark facts. Yes, some are a bit unsettling (examples; some sharks can smell a single drop of blood in a million drops of water or sharks can grow and lose 30,000 teeth in their lifetime), but such is the reality of shark behavior.A big part of our five year old’s fascination with sharks is their scariness—he really likes this combination of childish humor and actual shark facts. The drawings and sidelines are colorful, contemporary and funny.

Each incident is accompanied by fun facts about sharks, who are undoubtedly highly misunderstood. Most children will find this a lot of fun to read or have read to them.There there are a lot of other messages going on here.1- Overt positive message: a scary thing might be just misunderstood. It’s important to not jump to conclusions about someone because of their looks or general prejudice about who they are.2- Overt negative message: They really are what you’d heard they are.3- Undercurrents:A. Shark behavior is bad. A shark is a natural predator to many sea creatures. Acting naturally in the animal kingdom is not bad behavior. A shark that attacks a human often just mistakes it for a seal or other food source.B. As long as you don’t get caught- Several times Bob yells at the shark ‘Not in front of the people!’ So it’s ok to do something others consider bad, as long as they don’t see you do it.C. Gaslighting- the shark is convincing Bob that what Bob thinks is going to happen, isn’t really happening. Until it does. The shark eats Bob then quips ‘You misunderstood again! I didn’t eat you! I’m just... playing hide-and-seek with you!’ (while he rubs his full tummy)D. Abuse behavior and victim response- Bob knows how dangerous the shark is. He anticipates it with terror whenever the shark even seems like he might do something, while looking cheerful and unconcerned in between attacks. Anyone who’s ever been through an abuse scenario will instantly recognize this pattern. It may well trigger anxiety in children or the person reading to the child.Bottom line, the feeling I got reading it was confusing. I wanted to like it, because I like sharks (and all creatures). Being a geeky person I love kid books with interesting facts. But as someone who has experienced abuse and gaslighting, both as a child and as an adult, I can’t recommend it. I fear even children in normal homes will have confusing feelings.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book in the series, but there were parts that I liked, so I decided to give the second book a try. I’m glad I did. It was great. For those complaining about events in the first chapter? It sets the basis for the rest of the story, it’s a necessary evil. The book continues beautifully, flows better than the first book, and has a wonderful story waiting for you.

This is an amazing series. Melanie Karsak did a superb job in developing her characters as well as the geography for her heroine. It must be difficult to try to paint a picture of a fictional world, and jump back and forth to many fictional worlds as well. It certainly is a challenge at the very least. I have read two books in the series and can barely write this review as I want to jump into the next book of the series. Five stars well earned.

Similar to book 1, the ending of this story was cut short and left me feeling shortchanged and disappointed that the author couldn't have told a story that could stand on its own.

The second book in the series did not disappoint. It was equally as good as the first. I will begin the third now but wish I did not have to wait so long for the last book!

This trilogy is so well written. I hope that everyone gives it a try. Because once you start ready it you won’t want to stop until you have finished the trilogy. Wonderful characters. Scottish myth and history combined!

I love the storyline...the characters...the magic, the covens, the castle life & the history of it all.....I hope Ms Karsak finishes the storyline....I want to know what happens!! :)

I loved reading this series and cannot wait for the 3rd book... So please publish it soon! I highly recommend this book and the previous one, you won't be disappointed I couldn't put it down an longing to know what happens
