I hiked solo to EBC and Gokyo Ri using this map. There were one or two times that i wished it was more detailed or had distance markers on the route but overal it did great. It lasted the whole trek and held up to the rain and wind. I hiked just after the 2015 earthquakes and so I was one of the few people on the trail. If there are more people on the trail and you have any questions about the route you can ask others. I had to rely solely on this map and it did the job

Decent Map. Good construction. Printed on both sides. One side is detailed map of the Everest EBC trail and surrounding regions including Goyko Lakes, Cho La Pass, Dragnag, etc. Identifies trails clearly and shows locations of medical facilities, Tea Houses (Lodges) and the like. Elevations for destinations and points of interest clearly marked in Meters. Opposite side is map of entire country of Nepal with enlarged Kathmandu. Has some kind of plastic coating so it won't be ruined by water. You can write on it with a Sharpie. Pens not so much. Not for a serious climber that needs detailed elevation data or detailed routs. Probably should get 5-stars based on what it was produced for. But I would have preferred more detail and enlargements of area on the trail.

The number 1 item on my friend's bucket list is to climb to Mt. Everest base camp. When he told me his dream, I decided to help him out by getting him prepared for the exciting journey. I purchased the National Geographic adventure travel map along with the book Trekking in the Everest Region after reading the highly satisfied ratings both books were given. I am wrapping the set up and giving it to him for Christmas, I can't wait to see his face.

The map is brilliant for anyone travelling to Everest. It shows you all the the area around including entrance, altitude, treks etc. plus it brings a bit of valuable general information and the it is clear and easy to take in anywhere. Very easy to read when you are tired at 6000 meters above sea level and if your tough enough hopefully above 8000 meters above sea level as well.

Great quality! I brought this map with me when I trekked to base camp and wrote on along the way. I highly recommend!

You can definitely buy cheaper maps in the Khumbu, but they are printed on cheap, easily tearable paper. I used this map over and over. Outside of the actual Everest base camp location (there's a difference between the Trekker's Base camp and the Climber's Base camp) and the contours of the Khumbu glacier (I doubt anyone would have this) - I referred to this map every day of my trip. Buy a couple of cheaper maps for reference - but this is the map to use.

I took this course in college and was very amazed by the things you can do to a web site all on your own. Yes, it is a bit technical but don't let that get in the way of learning something fun and exciting. Maybe I am a bit of a geek, but if you are really wanting to build a web site from scratch with code, this is a must have. The instructions are very simple, plenty of examples and you can also get more hints and tips from their web site. I've always wanted to have my own web site but was never sure of what I wanted it to be about. Now that I have started on my web site project, it just gets easier and more fun. No using of other company's templates where you have no control of how it looks like or can make minor adjustments to the template. This lets you create a web page exactly as you want it to appear. Very good book for beginners and intermediates. Great as a reference book for the experienced.

I am one of those weirdos that prefers to write in HTML than use a WYSIWYG editors. The code is so much easier to debug, is smaller and more concise, and an order of magnitude quicker to execute than the WYSIWYG stuff. So, I used this book as an interesting read on the guts of HTML, and as a primer on CSS. It wasn't great, but I like the W3Schools stuff.I prefer a good old hardcopy to hold when I'm trying to debug something. Having too many windows open at once really clutters my workplace, even though I have a really big display. And when I'm coding, I like to be able to quickly open a book and lookup a command to make certain the syntax is proper, or to see the options one can exercise.

I accidentally ordered 2 of this because of the browser faded which is cost me money. I also decided to send it to my friend for free which is more friends of yours or me love for free and send to Postal Offfice but went back again and could'nt find out where now my book I find out it's stuck in Los Angeles, California send by USPS. My friend is busy at work I am not sure if she will take it to postal office also there. If she never think of the book I think we will lost our friendship. I will made friends who love being me on top I mean become best wealthiest person with financial intelligence but my idea to achieve them is for programming to start a Company with Computer and with best leadership. I love to become Entrepreneur someday but not to be wanna-be.P.S. Actually I learn some of the codes here I read this more than a month but not consistently.

This being my first attempt to learn HTML coding, my review will be of a newbie. I thought that it was quite well layed out and easy to understand. I would recommend this book to all that wants to learn HTML. It has helped me greatly understand this computer language. I am keeping it near to my machine to refer back to just in case I need help in the coming days.The book was in amazing shape when I received it and was a bargin when I purchased it also!

This book is more like an outline. The W3 website provides much more learning opportunity. I was disappointed about the books content.

I purchased the three book set and they must have improved the paper quality the cover is a nice 80# gloss cover and the inside pages are 6o# text the quality is not a factor anymore the books are about 1/2 inch thick each. The content does contain a lot of the content avaiable online but it is nice to be able read it when I am not online and it makes a great reference. I am fine with the price for what I recieved I find the w3c schools site is very helpfull and figure even if I pay an extra dollar or two I am supporting a group the helps a lot of people learn web development. I wish it was avaiable on the kindle.

The woman and I chatted about the lack of good enough,often enough, is not practiced in our homes and schools, because we don't know how to do it in an intelligent respectful manner, really educating all who will hear,Important to avoid miserable lives of unwanted pregnancies…We talked about the best program we ever heard on Glee by a high school teacher…It was so good, it was like planning your own Birthday Party!!Then right beside me was this book and I opened it to to read about a Fan of Power, so good! I want to order several of this book to give to people I meet and care for!

This book opened my eyes to all the God winks I have experienced in my life. I first met my future wife at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. I was running a marathon from the North Rim to the South rim. My two running partners asked me if I had ever seen Ribbon Falls, located 1/4 mile off the trail. I had not so they agreed we should take a detour to the falls. Upon arriving at the falls, a very pretty woman was standing up at the base of the falls.we chatted, she took a picture of us, and we continued our run.Six months later I had the urge to begin training for the Pikes Peak marathon. My training included running up what was then Squaw Peak in Phoenix. One of my training runs, I came up behind a woman who was walking, I could not pass her, so we began talking. She asked me if I ran this mountain often. I told her only when I was training for a marathon. She said she saw some guys running a marathon last October in the Grand Canyon, I mentioned that I was running a marathon in the Canyon lastOctober. At that point she looked at me and said, I have a photo of you in my Canyon photo album...at that point I realized we were experiencing a Godwink. The rest - - as they say - - is history.

I enjoyed reading the stories of other folks "God Winks" in this book. Several years ago I sat beside a woman on an airplane who was reading a newspaper from a city that my Grandmother, who was born in 1889 was from. We got to talking & in a very short time we discovered that her Grandfather was my Grandmother's Brother. After the trip we exchanged old photo's & family stories. I told a friend this story & she said that I had had a "God Wink". I treasure this. Janet

I could really relate to the stories because I know God has always been involved in significant events in my life but I did not always realize that until looking back at what had happened. This book was the first book I could not put down until I finished. It's an easy read and gave me peace. I can recognize God winks all the time now.

Given to me when my Father and Brother passed away, last year. I've paid it forward giving this, treasure of a book, to friends and family who has lost a loved one recently. Sometimes it takes a while to see the "winks" but they will come for you.

I have long subscribed to the belief that their are no coincidences, just occasions were God takes a hand and remains anonymous. Rushnell cites many personal encounters in this realm. I was not only enlightened by his sharing, he opened my eyes to even more such interventions in my day to day living. His writing style is breezy without being cute or trivial. The book affected my outlook on daily living. I will most surely reread it in the future so as not to lose the impact.

This is a fantastic inspirational collection of upbeat, true, short stories about how God is active in all lives, everyday, & in every way.It has made me more aware of how God has been active in my life at especially at crucial junctions in my life.It sure beats watching TV news, because it is true & uplifting.I've bought more than a dozen copies to give to Christians as well as folks that don't want to talk about religion.I plan on buying a lot more copies to give away this year at Christmas time & in the future.

This book was okay for me. I found it and chose to read it at a time when I was going through the death of a pet and trying not to dwell on wondering why it had to happen. The book is mostly a positive recounting of uplifting things that have happen when you least expect it, but need it. It did help me to recall moments in my life when I knew that I was experiencing something for a reason beyond the immediate moment. That did help me to get out of my own head and back to the day to day of life with a more positive outlook, regardless of the circumstance. If you need a little push to get you past the bumps in life, it can be a good book to pick up,read awhile, and get back into living life.
